[suche] NAS Hardware für 2 Platten Stromspar

Hallo VDR Gemeinde,

heute mal eine andere Frage an euch. Ich möchte eine Dockstar ablösen da mir die USB 2.0 Geschwindigkeit einfach nicht reicht.
Verwendungszweck soll UPNP (Bilder, Audio, Video) sein und 24h laufen.
Es sollten mindestens 2 Festplatten rein passen und das ganze sollte unter 100€ (ohne Patten) bleiben.
Mir kommt es vorwiegend auf Durchsatz an (Gigabit Netz ist vorhanden).

Gibt es von eurer Seite Vorschläge für Fertig Geräte, oder soll man lieber selber etwas zusammen stellen. Wenn Selbstbau,
was nimmt man dann?

Freue mich auf eure Vorschläge.

Moin!

Ich hab seit kurzem eine Seagate GoFlex Net im Einsatz, allerdings noch nicht produktiv (testweise Mailserver, Apache, Samba usw.).
Ist wie eine Dockstar, nur dass man zwei 2,5"-SATA-Festplatten oben reinstecken kann.
Wenn man die passenden Platten von Seagate benutzt (FreeAgent GoFlex), sitzen sie auch bündig. Nackte Platten wackeln da etwas rum.

Die Bilder bei Amazon vermitteln manchmal ein falsches Bild vom Lieferumfang, da sind selten die Platten mit dabei (wenn es ein günstiger Preis zu sein scheint).

ArchLinux (arm) läuft gut darauf und lässt sich leicht installieren. Der Kernel hat auch schon die SATA-Unterstützung drin.

Hmm, an den Netgear Dinger stört mich, das man die bei Netgear aktivieren muß, und das ganze mit ner Windows Software ;-)

Hey, hast du Das Arch Linux dann direkt auf einer der beiden Platten installiert? Gibt es da auch Debian für?

Ja, hab ich, der USB-Port ist frei.
Es scheint auch ein Debian dafür zu geben (siehe http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/), der Kernel hat aber keine SATA-Unterstützung mitgeliefert. Ich hab's nicht zum Laufen bekommen, hatte dann irgendwann keine Lust mehr.
Die Installation von ArchLinux war wesentlich unkomplizierter.

Auch bei Seagte muss man sich einmal anmelden und den SSH-Zugang auf dem Kistchen freischalten. Nimm halt eine Wegwerf-Adresse dafür... :)

Funktioniert aber mit dem Debian auch bestes.
Man muß nur nach der Installation über http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/ noch den Kernel von varkey installieren.
Dann kann man auch von der SATA Platte booten.
VDR funktioniert übrigens auch, habe ich auf einer dockstar installiert.
