Server: Athlon II X2 250 - Asus M3N-H HDMI - 2x1GB RAM - 3TB HDDs -
1 x Digital Devices Cine S2 V6 DVB-S2 (SD Sender im Highband funktionieren mit der Karte nach wie vor unter Linux nicht, unter Windows schon)
3 x Nova Budget (die ich eigentlich durch die Cine S2 mit Erweiterungsmodul ersetzen wollte, leider aber für die SD Sender immer noch brauche)
mit yavdr 0.4.0

Hab meine beiden vor etwa 4 Wochen bei speichermarkt.de gekauft, Preise scheinen stabil zu sein, Lieferung war sehr schnell.

SMT mit DOM und USB Boot

Gibt es ne Möglichkeit von einem USB Stick bzw. USB-Platte in Verbindung mit dem eingebauten DOM zu booten ?

Ist es eigentlich möglich die SMT ohne Frontpanel zu betreiben?

Ich würde das ganze nämlich gerne in ein anderes Gehäuse setzen um auch vernünftig einen DVD-Brenner unterbringen zu können. Doch leider passt da dann das Frontpanel nicht mit rein.

Weiss jemand, welches Plugin zur Kanalsuche auf der SMT funktioniert?
Ich hab wirbelscan probiert, aber das spring direkt auf 100% und scheint nix
zu finden. Oder muss ich da was beachten?

habe bei mir die zenslack mit kernel 2.6.17.6 die Pegel, wurden zwar nicht angezeigt hat aber alle Transponder auf Astra un Hotbird gescannt.

Evtl. sollte ich es nochmal testen.

Ich hab bei meiner SMT oft das Problem, dass selbst nach einem sauberen
Herunterfahren, bei einem Neustart (meist Kaltstart) der automatische Filesystem-
check fehschlägt. Ich krieg dann "Unexpected Inconsistency".
Ich muss dann ne Tastatur anschliessen, root ein pw geben und fsck manuell
ausführen. Verbaut ist eine neue Samsung 2,5" Festplatte mit 40GB, da ich zentral
auf einen NFS-Server aufzeichne. Die Platte hat eine ext3 Partition. Auch habe
ich mit tune2fs -c0 /dev/hda verhindern wollen, dass nach einer gewissen Mountzahl das Filesystem überprüft wird. Manchmal ist das schon nervig.
Hat sonst noch jemand diese Problem?

Ich fahre die SMT ständig hart runter, weil sie nicht mehr reagiert und ich zu faul bin aufzustehen (wobei ich inzwischen festgestellt habe, das ich nur zu ungeduldig war) und keinerlei Probleme mit fsck - vielleicht solltest du doch einmal die Platte auf Fehler testen...

Das bringt nichts, da partimage die Daten Bitweise sichert.
Dann hast Du danach wieder das selbe Problem. Du musst auf File ebene die Daten sichern.
Also am besten mit tar oder so.

Ich bin hier ziemlich sicher, dass nein die richtige Antwort ist.
Denn die IR Verarbeitung findet schon im Frontpanel statt und smtlircd bietet nur ein lircd Interface als Übersetzung.
