AC3 mit der Activy 300

Moin,
Hat jemand mit der Activy 300 AC3 am laufen ? Mit bitstreamout bekomme ich immerhin PCM auf den SPDIF, aber mehr auch nicht. Mit dem em84xx alleine kommt gar nichts raus.

RE: AC3 mit der Activy 300

Hab eigentlich nur ne FF Karte und daher gibts keine Probleme. Hatte aber auch mal just for fun bitstreamout getestet, mit dem gleichen Ergebnis wie bei dir. PCM kein Problem, AC3 ergab eine recht merkwürdige Geräuschkulisse

Allerdings hatte ich das nur mal kurz getestet und bin dem Problem nicht weiter nachgegangen.
Wäre aber auch an einer Lösung interessiert.

Activy 300 - standard - ohne LCD Display

Kernel 2.6.14, VDR 1.3.42 - Plugins: AdZap, DVD, gnb2vdr, mailbox, mp3, ,mplayer, osdteletext, pilot, vcd, wetter, vdrcd, image, radio, umsadmin, muggle

RE: AC3 mit der Activy 300

Für ne 300er müsste man wohl den "Direkt-Digital"-Eingang des Soundchips schalten können ... wir hatten zu dem Thema schon mal nen Thread bezüglich des Alsa-Treibers des CS Chips.
Uwe konnte dies auf ner neuen 3** mit neuerem Chip direkt im Mixer aktivieren (auch Thread hier).

Nur der em84xx gibt gar nix aus (auch kein PCM).

also AC3 vom EM8400 via digital in am cs4299 Actiy 300 geht, das waere ja mal ein weiterer Meilenstein. :-)

Wer sagt dass das geht ? Ich habs nur mit bitstreamout und ac3dec geschafft, und da ist der em84 nicht im Spiel.

Du hast den Gedanken, den digital Ton von Center auf den Fernseher auszugeben und FrontL+R, RearL+R (bei Filmen) über den Verstärker?

Oder geht es um den "schlechten" Ton der FuSi?

Hi Nando,

Was meinst Du mit "Center" ? Es geht mir darin Fernsehsendungen mit Dolby Digital zu hoeren. Dazu muss ueber den SPDIF das AC3 Signal ausgegeben werden. Das ganze natuerlich ohne FF Karte sondern nur ueber den Digital-Out der Activy.
PCM ging schon immer ueber ALSA mit dem obigen Fix klappts nun auch mit AC3.
Nur hab ichs noch nicht geschafft den Ton des EM84xx ueber den SPDIF auszugeben.

Ach ja, dann geht es nur über EM84xx.

Mit "Center" meine ich das Audio-Signal, was für die mittleren Lautsprecher gedacht ist.

Von der TV-Karte kommt das Video-Signal und Audio über Scart.
Für normales Fernsehen brauche ich kein AC3 (keinen Verstärker), dann reicht es so.
Für DVD's oder Filme mit AC3 habe ich allerdings kein Audio über Scart.

Meine Lösung ist ein Schalter am Scart, bei dem ich Audio von der TV-Karte auf "Center" vom Verstärker umschalten kann.

Das klappt bei mir auch, aber mit bis zu ca 3 Sekunden Zeitversatz machts wenig Spass

Geht das bei Dir besser auf allen Sendern ?

leider nein Docus und Fussball sind OK,
aber bei normalen Filmen hab ich den Eindruck es läuft mit der Zeit auseinander, schade eigentlich.

Wenn man es in den em84xx integriert koennte man es synchronisieren ...
Aber ich nutze nun eh wieder meine FF Karte - da ist das Bild besser und SPDIF ist auch kein Thema

Also ich finde den Unterschied enorm. Allerdings hat mein Thomson TV auch einen sehr guten RGB in und der Rest ist eher maessig ...Im Keller am Test TV ist der Unterschied kaum sichtbar.
Aber auch der WAF ist deutlich besser - Frauchen hat sich schwer ueber das Chaos beim Spulen beschwert

Aber am Testgeraet bleibt der em84xx im Einsatz - nachdem ich ne s1400 fuer 13 Euro ergattert habe

da die Activy 300/3xx ja auch einen digital IN (CD in hinten links 2 pins) am sound chip on board hat sollte es doch moeglich sein die sync Probleme mit bitstreamout zu loesen.

Hallo,
Ich denke nicht dass dies die Sync Probleme behebt. Der em84xx produziert das Bild sofort und bitstreamout braucht ne Weile.
Die einzige Moeglichkeit dies zu synchronisieren waere den em84xx auszubremsen ...
