Hallo,

ich nutze auf meinem MB POV/330 mit debian squeeze u.a. folgendes vdr Paket 1.7.20-1~ctvdr1.

Auf dem MB ist diese Grafikkarte mit Treibern verbaut und installiert.

Entweder open-source Nvidia (Noveau) oder closed-source Nvidia. Den closed-source Nvidia-Treiber, wenn VDPAU-Support gewünscht ist.

Meine, dass ich den closed source Treiber verwende, aber bin nicht sicher.

Wie konnte ich dies und die Version noch mal ermitteln?

Ich nutze den vdr meistens dazu, dass ich von einem Laptop mit vlc darüber schaue, oder per iPhone.

Da der VDR-Server jedoch direkt unterhalb des TV-Gerätes steht, möchte ich ihn per HDMI daran anschließen. Möchte nur sicher gehen, dass die Qualität dann auch entsprechend (sehr) gut ist.Vor einiger Zeit war sie dies nämlich überhaupt nicht!

Die Qualität hängt aber nicht nur vom Nvidia-Treiber ab, sondern von einem Zusammenspiel und Konfiguration diverser Komponenten. Du kannst Dir beispielsweise ein VDR-Frontend auch so konfigurieren, dass das Bild schlecht aussieht. Du kannst ja, wenn Lust und Zeit besteht, Dir mal yaVDR installieren, wo Dir bei Deiner Hardware alle Konfiguration für die Bildausgabe über HDMI abgenommen wird.

Ernsthaft.

Welche Version muss ich denn dann verwenden?
Problem dabei ist, dass ich neben dem vdr noch eine Reihe weiterer, für mich wichtiger Dienste laufen habe...

Benutzt Du denn nun eigentlich c't-VDR oder ein Debian Squeeze plus VDR-Pakete? Du erwartest Beratung, lässt Dir aber alles aus der Nase ziehen. Hast Du einen grafischen Desktop installiert?

Du postest ja im c't-VDR-Unterforum und nicht im Debian-Unterforum, deswegen meine Frage.
Was willst Du denn für ein VDR-Frontend nutzen? vdr-plugin-xine oder vdr-sxfe? Was ist denn schon installiert? Läuft der X-Server ständig? Was für einen Fenstermanager hast Du installiert? (Die Frage stellte ich oben schon)

Ist die von Dir verwendete libxine-Version VDPAU-fähig? Ich kenne mich da nicht so aus bei Debian/e-tobi?

Ich klinke mich jetzt mal aus, weil ich das Gefühl habe, ich kann Dir nicht recht weiterhelfen. Bin auch eher Ubuntu-User. Sicherlich findest Du Hilfe von anderen Debian-Usern hier.

Sollte mit vdr-plugin-xineliboutput und vdr-sxfe von den eTobi-experimental-Quellen funktionieren. Bei deiner Hardware das Interlacing für HD auf temporal reduzieren. Der Fernseher muß beim Starten des Rechners eingeschaltet sein, sonst wird meist VGA als Ausgabe gewählt. Läßt sich aber in der xorg.conf anpassen.

Der Fernseher muß beim Starten des Rechners eingeschaltet sein, sonst wird meist VGA als Ausgabe gewählt. Läßt sich aber in der xorg.conf anpassen.

Wie muss ich das Interlacing einstellen? HAst du ggf. ein Beispiel?
Ich würde den VDR gerne am TV anschließen, um z.B. aufgenommene Filme anschauen zu können. Sonst müsste ich diese wohl wieder auf eine DVD/Bluray brennen und über den Player am TV abspielen.

Da ist recht gut beschrieben, wie du mit den e-tobi Quellen die Ausgabe über vdpau hinbekommst. Das Repository vdr-ng-experimental ist aber nicht mehr aktuell. Es ist alles in vdr-experimental enthalten.

Für das HD-Interlacing gibt es einen Eintrag in /root/.xine/config_xineliboutput. Der steht aber -glaube ich- nach der Installation schon auf Temporal.
