logrotate sinnvoll konfigurieren

  • Installiert ist ctvdr4.5, also Debian Sarge.
    Nun ist es ja so, daß dort kaum was rotiert wird, und die Logfiles sinnlos vollaufen.


    Ich möchte gerne folgende Konfiguration durchsetzen.


    Rotieren von:
    messages - > täglich 3-er Rotation
    syslog - > täglich 7-er Rotation
    kern.log - > täglich 3-er Rotation
    user.log - > täglich 3-er Rotation
    deamon.log - > wöchentlich 3-er Rotation
    debug - > täglich 3-er Rotation


    Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen?

  • ist das nicht ein wenig hastig, einen kompletten Hubschrauberflugplatz (Apache) und den ganzen andern Krimskram zu instrallieren, nur um ein paar Skripte anzupassen?
    Und, wie rufe ich den dann eigentlich auf, wenn er denn installiert ist

    Dummerweise werde ich nicht nach einem Login gefragt und werde dann mit 403-Fehlermeldung abgewiesen

    Sobald ich versuche, per https://IP:10000 darauf zuzugreifen, kommt der Hinweis mit dem Zertifikat und dann wird mir der Zugriff auf die Seite verweigert

    ich weiß, Ihr arbeitet am Hubschrauberlandeplatz, aber reicht es nicht per Hand in der Datei /etc/logrotate.conf folgende Zeile zu ändern/einzufügen:

  • Mist, irgendwie war mir beim Schreiben so, als hätte ich woanders mal was geändert. Jetzt habe ich es gefunden: syslog wird über

    /etc/cron.daily/sysklogd

    und nicht über logrotate täglich umbenannt.
