Also wenn ich mir den verbauten Lüfter auf dem Board so anschaue, dann heben sich jetzt schon die Nackenhaare. Leise wird der mit Sicherheit nicht sein.

lirc entweder über einen usb-ir-dongel (z.B den von der lustigen terratec), über den line-in oder man bastelt selber was

z.B am ps/2 sollte man einen IR2Keyboard adapter machen können. Dann brauchts garkein lirc mehr

Ja sehr gerne, hatte ich schon in einem anderen Thread geschrieben: Kannst Du mal bitte prüfen ob die Wireless-Karte in dem mini-pcie Slot per USB oder pcie-lanes angebunden ist (geht ja bekanntlich beides), ist wohl am einfachsten mit lsusb & lspci zu sehen ;-)

Achso, für alle anderen: Ich habe das Zotax IONITX-B und bis jetzt folgendes herausgefunden:
- Onboard-serial ist vorhanden, kann man für lirc benutzen. Es gibt jedoch nirgendwo +5VSB, d.h. wenn man per IR anschalten will, muß man ans Netzteil.
- Das Board wird WIRKLICH heiß, bin mal gespannt, ob das dauerhaft gut geht.
- Netboot mit PXE klappt wunderbar
- ich habe es unter Linux bis jetzt nicht geschafft (mit 32bit Kernel) mehr als 3GB RAM zu sehen, trotz HIGHMEM Unterstützung im Kernel
- Der verbaute Netzwerkchip (per forcedeth Treiber) ist NICHT für die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Netceiver geeignet, es gibt massive Discontinouties...

Danke für die Info, d.h. man könnte das Board theoretisch mit einem zweiten Gbit NIC (z.B. MPX-574D) nachrüsten.

Habe mich dann jetzt aber (wegen Netceiver Problemen) doch erstmal für einen USB2Ethernet Adapter entschieden...

also ich bin von dem board echt begeistert und werd es vermutlich nicht mehr her geben

einzig was mir an dem Board fehlt, sind nen richtiger LPT (für nen LCD-Display) und ein weiterer COM-Port. Aber dafür gibts USB-Lösungen

Was mir gefällt, das das Energiekostenmessgerät zwischen 27 und 35W angezeigt. Und das trotz der "alten hungrigen" 3,5" Platte und dem DVD-Laufwerk. Da die 3,5" Platte gegen eine 2,5" getauscht wird und das DVD-Laufwerk wegfällt, sollte ich Problemlos auf deutlich unter 30W kommen.

Muß ich direkt auch mal messen, dank Netboot (keine HD, kein CDROM) und ohne WLAN dürfte es ja nochmal darunter liegen. Evtl ist aber auch der Wirkungsgrad meines externen Netzteils nicht so hoch wie von dem eingebauten im -A

naja, ich habe bisher ein VIA-PD6000E als Homeserver, aber so wie es aussieht, wird das wohl bald durch das ION-A ersetzt

in sachen netzteil, habe ich beim VIA gute erfahrungen mit einer PicoPSU 120-WI25 gemacht.

kannst ja mal schreiben, was bei dir rausgekommen ist.
