Zotac H77-ITX WiFi C Series (H77ITX-C-E) wacht nicht auf (sowohl für Timer oder mit WOL) - ACPI Problem?

  • Hi Leute,


    kann mir jemand einen Tipp geben wie ich hier weiter vorgehen kann.
    Der PC, siehe Sigantur, wacht für eine Timeraufnahme nicht auf. Über WOL mit der Andro-VDR App klappts leider auch nicht. Mit einem Windows-Client und der wol.exe klappts auch nicht.
    Im BIOS habe ich ebenfalls sämtliche Konstellationen unter ACPI durch, leider ohne Erfolg. Ich denke, es liegt hier ein Betriebssystem unabhängiges ACPI Problem vor, da das WOL ja schon nicht klappt.


    Wie kann ich hier genauer prüfen? Liegts vielleicht an dem mitgelieferten Netzteil und einer evtl. fehlenden 5V Spannung, welche für ACPI benötigt wird? Über jeden Tipp wäre ich sehr dankbar.

    da sind wir wieder ;)
    Danke für dein Feedback, aber das ErP habe ich auch expliziet ausgeschaltet.
    Die BIOS Settings sehen so aus:
    - WOL ist logischerweise aktiviert
    - Restore from AC Power loss habe ich auf "Last state". Power off hatte ich auch schon, macht keinen Unterschied. Der Rest wie auf dem Bild.
    Enable Hibernation habe ich auch schon mal deaktiviert, das wars auch nicht.

    Allerdings Frage ich mich, was die BIOS Uhrzeit mit dem WOL zu tun hat. Bei VDR-Timern, ja, ist logisch aber das WOL muss doch auch mit einer Uhrzeit aus Uzbekistan den PC hochfahren lassen... oder? :rolleyes:

  • Es ist ja nicht gesagt, dass beides die gleiche Ursache hat. Die WOL-Fähigkeit für die Netzwerkkarte muss man ja explizit im Betriebssystem aktivieren - was yaVDR für eth0 auch tut: https://github.com/yavdr/yavdr…ing-0.5/etc/init/wol.conf
    Dabei gibt es prinzipiell mehrere mögliche Wakeup-Events, gängig ist es auf ein Magic-Packet zu reagieren:


    Das Ergebnis sieht dann z.B. so aus (Zeile 25 zeigt, dass er auf ein Magic Packet reagieren soll):

  • Bei meinem VDR setze ich auch ethtool -s eth0 wol g beim shutdown, ansonsten gehts nichts.

    rein zum Verständnis.
    Wenn ich einen PC habe, kein (!) OS installiert, Festplatte von mir aus ausgebaut und er Rechner ist aus. Die ACPI-Settings wurden korrekt im BIOS hinterlegt, die NIC ist WOL fähig und WOL ist im BIOS Aktiv, dann muss doch WOL funktionieren. Ist doch ein reines Hardware-Feature oder bin ich jetzt auf dem Holzweg? ?(

    Nicht zwingend. Normalerweise muss man das noch mal extra im OS setzen - ob spezielle Mainboards mit Fernwartungsfunktion unabhängig davon sind, weiß ich nicht, nehme es aber an.

    Es gibt aber auch Mainboards welche gar kein WOL können obwohl sie sogar zwei Netzwerk Schnittstellen haben, so ein Teil (GA-Z77N-WIFI) habe ich mir unwissender Weise gekauft. Erst der Gigabyte Support hat mich darüber aufgeklärt, die Produktbeschreibung schweigt sich zu dem Thema aus.
    Falls beim Zotac H77-ITX Wifi nirgendwo stehen das damit WOL funktioniert oder jemand anderer dies bereits erfolgreich genutzt hat würde ich mal bei Zotac nachfragen.


    NACHTRAG:
    Laut Handbuch sollte WOL funktionieren:

    • Support Full Duplex flow control (IEEE802.3x)
    • 10/100/1000 BASE-T IEEE 802.3 compliant
    • Wake On LAN (WOL) power management support


    Wenn WOL nicht geht bedeutet das aber nicht das ACPI Wakeup nicht funktioniert.

    hier die gewünschten Ausgaben... (etwas unverständlich für mich).
    "GLAN S4 disabled" könnte die NIC sein, das wäre dann blöd. Die Uhrzeit im BIOS ist zwei Stunden zurück. WakeOnLan wird über MagicPaket von Eth0 unterstützt. Was wäre sonst noch wichtig für Timer wake up mit ACPI?
