webmin kackt ab (per apt-get gezogen)

  • Hab mir per apt-get install webmin das webmin-Paket gezogen, starte es per


    /etc/init.d/webmin start


    Danach ist das Teil sofort wieder abgeranzt, ein /etc/init.d/webmin stop bringt ein "Failed to kill ... no process.", also ist es vorher abgesemmelt.


    Het jemand von Euch schonmal webmin per apt-get installeirt und zum Laufen gebracht?

  • also ich Habe auch mal so testweise CT-VDR draufgehauen. Soweit ich noch weiß hatte ich es installiert und es lief. Bin mir aber nur zu 98% sicher. Auf dem Suse 8.2 habe ich mir webmin runtergeladen und installiert.
    1. tar -xzvf Webmin-1.x.x.tar.gz
    2. cd Webmin-1.x.x
    3. ./setup.sh
    4. Dialogen folgen..... und fertig.


    Aktuell läufts gut.

    VDR-Server: MSI KT6A Ultra FISR ; Athlon XP 2200+ ; GrKa Geforce 2 MX; 256MB DDR-SDRam Plugins: streamdev-server, remote
    2 x DVB-Budget Karte, Gentoo, Kernel 2.6.8 usw....

    ich hab das webmin mit apt-get gezogen und sonst nichts weiter gemacht. Es läuft bei mir ohne probleme, nachdem ich begriffen habe, das man als url unbedingt https angeben muss.

  • ob http oder https ist einstellungssache.
    Wenn ich das "s" vergesse bekomme ich eh einen hinweis das es unter https erreichbar ist.


    Aber das dürfte nicht das problem sein

  • hm, langt denn der inetd.conf - Eintrag nicht? Muss ich evtl. noch den services-Eintrag machen?Guck ich direkt mal ;D
