I'm having trouble reading this forum, so if this is the wrong place excuse me (I don't quite read German, I think this is?).
I have mkv files in my library that I would like to play using vdr, but it seems to be having some major issues. Firstly it will play for a bit and then vdr-sxfe will crash; or it will play with a green garble and out of aspect; or it will just simply not play and crash vdr-sxfe.
The files are mkv with h264 video and ogg audio (audio plays fine).
It does appear to be mostly a h264 issue though. Could there be an issue with the actual encoding options used with h264?
Is there anyway I can get some diagnostics out the system on this? I've been looking at the manual and I haven't discovered anyway to obtain greater information from the frontend (the backend doesn't appear to be the issue as it is set to output debug already and I can't see anything useful.
