A: EPIA/EPIA V?s VIP port uses the CCIR601 interface. The port?s pin definitions can be found in the Operating Guideline for EPIA and the User?s Manual for EPIA-V. A third party solution for external MPEG-2 decoders is Sigma Design?s REAL Magic ? product (www.sigmadesigns.com). System developers can contact Sigma Designs for the reference design, which is called the Symphony ?. VIA does not provide the reference design directly.

Diese TechFAQ beantwortet eigentlich nicht meine Frage. Ich dachte eher an folgendes: Es gibt ja Grafikkarten mit Video-in, und zusammen mit einem Capture-Programm kann ich damit analoge Video-Quellen aufnehmen. Was ich nur wissen wollte: Besitzt evtl. die eingebaute Grafikkarte dieses Feature und ist das ein entsprechender Eingang? Das Manual zum Motherboard sagt _nix_ dazu: "...The Video In Connector (right part of J12, see diagram below) allows you to connect an external video source. ... These connectors are not for standard Video In and PCI Riser Card module, for reference design please consult with VIA Technologies, Inc."
Und falls ja: erlaubt die VDR-Software, diesen Eingang zu nutzen? Vielleicht hat ja jemand eine solche Lösung am Laufen?
