Probleme mit vdr-xine-0.3.4 installation

  • Hallo!


    Ich rauf mir jetzt schon so viele Tage die Haare, dass ich jetzt einfach mal fragen muss:


    Ich habe Debian testing und eine Hauppauge DEC-2000T (USB/DVB-T), die mit dem aktuellen Debian-2.6.6-Kernel per 'xine dvb://' soweit läuft. Jetzt versuche ich den VDR samt xine-Plugin an den Start zu bringen, und bin langsam mit meinem Latein am Ende. Ich habe das INSTALL von vdr-xine-0.3.4 bestimmt schon zehmal Buchstabe für Buchstabe durchgespielt, und weiss (weil ich nunmal einfach kein Bild bekomme) einfach nicht mehr, ob's am xine-plugin oder am vdr selbst liegt:


    Wenn ich eine CVS-Version nehme, lässt sich alles patchen, aber ./configure bricht mit

    Also nehme ich die 1.0rc4 source, die sich auch patchen, kompilieren und installieren lässt. (Allerdings taucht 'vdr' keinmal in der Ausgabe auf?! Muss mich das bedenklich stimmen? Ich hab einfach noch zu wenig Ahnung von Kompilieren Patchen und so...) VDR selbst lässt sich auch soweit (genau laut Anleitung) kompilieren.
    Anschliessendes ./vdr -P 'xine -r' bringt in /var/log/messages:

    So weit, so gut, denk' ich. Wenn ich aber jetzt


    xine "vdr://tmp/vdr-xine/stream#demux:mpeg_pes"


    aufrufe, bekomme ich immer "xine Engine: Fehler - Es ist kein Eingabe-Plugin vorhanden...".


    ...Oder liegt's garnicht an der Xine-Anbindung, und mein VDR macht noch Murks? (Wieso schreibt der zum Beispiel "setting primary device to 2"? Ich hab doch nur ein Device?!).


    edit: Hab' gerade in einem anderen thread gelesen, xine --verbose=2 müsste irgendwas mit vdr ausgeben. Tut's aber nicht...


    Leute, mir fällt nix mehr ein. Kann mir jemand einen Tip geben?

    Ich bin mir jetzt fast sicher, dass es am fehlenden Input Plugin für vdr in xine liegt. Aber was mache ich nur falsch? Selbst mit ungepatchten CVS-Quellen für xine bekomme ich folgendes:

    Die Warnungen sehe ich natürlich auch. Automake, autoconf sind aber in der neuesten Version installiert. Vielleicht bin ich ja nur zu blöde, diesen Compilerslang richtig zu verstehen, aber was mache ich nur falsch?

    Also ich möchte bezweifeln, daß der VDR mit der Hauppauge DEC-2000T (USB/DVB-T) funktioniert.
    Aber vielleicht irre ich mich ja.


    xine Startaufruf: ./runvdr "-P'xine -r'" (muß in Hochkomme geschrieben werden).

    oh jeh, das kommt mir alles sehr bekannt vor, mit dem Zeugs habe ich mich auch ein paar Abende rumgeplagt, bisses lief.

    Das ist normal, das Plugin stellt ein neues Device zur Verfügung.

    Solange der autogen.sh nicht sauber gelaufen ist, werden die vdr-spezifischen Programmsourcen bei der Xine-Engine nicht mit compiliert, also ist diese Meldung plausibel.


    Ich bin nun auch eher der Linux-Depp, aber hier die richtigen Versionen von autogen und automake, und aclocal und libtoolize und wie sie noch alle heissen mögen ..., auf der Maschine zu haben, scheint eine Wissenschaft für sich zu sein.
    Ich konnte mir nur so helfen, dass ich den autogen.sh mit der CVS-Version auf einem anderen PC ausgeführt habe, dann zurück auf den VDR-PC kopiert und nochmal ein ./configure.
    Jetzt läuft es aber auch, und jedesmal, wenn eine neue Version vom xine-plugin rauskommt, bekomme ich das kalte Schaudern, weil der Tanz von vorn losgeht. (sofern sich an dem Patch bzw. an der vdr-xine-sourcen was geändert hat.)

  • Vielen Dank für die Antworten (man fühlt sich nicht mehr ganz so allein...:-).


    Die Sache ist nur, ich habe KEIN dediziertes VDR-System, sondern mein ganz normales Debian testing benutzt, incl. aktuellem autoconf und automake, die ich sogar extra noch aus dem unstable-Zweig aktualisiert habe, da sie ja anscheinend zu alt sind ?!


    Zum Punkt, ob die DEC-2000T läuft: Die c't hatte neulich erwähnt, dass sie das Gerät mit VDR auch nicht zum Laufen gekriegt hat, "trotz anderslautender Foreneinträge". Allerdings: DVB-Empfang funzt, sprich die Treiber spielen mit, und als Ausgabe will ich ja auch "nur" xine benutzen...


    Ich habe bisher nicht den Eindruck, dass es an der Hardware scheitert. Das könnte ich erst beurteilen, wenn wenigstens die Software spielen würde :)


    Vielleicht fällt ja noch jemandem was ein, ich bin weiterhin für jeden Tip dankbar...
    ...Oder kann mir jemand einfach ein fertig kompiliertes xine zur Verfügung stellen? (Okay, das ist nahe an der Selbstaufgabe, aber wenn Ihr meine Haare sehen würdet...)

    kein xineplug_inp_vdr.so in /usr/local/xine/plugins/1.0.0, ergo kann's nicht tun.


    Also, das ganze hat offensichtlich mit vdr-xine nix zu tun, denn auch eine frische, ungepatchte CVS-Source von xine kriege ich nicht durch autogen.sh ohne obigen Abbruch. Entweder fehlt mir noch irgendein Paket, von dem ich noch nie gehört habe, oder ... ja oder was bloss?

    das Problem ist, dass ohne ./autogen.sh (d. h. nur ./configure) die zusätzlichen Einträge in ./src/input/Makefile.in fehlen.

    Diese 5 zusätzlichen Zeilen blähen sich aber gewaltig auf. Ich probiere jetzt schon seit 'ner guten Stunde, 'nen diff für Makefile.in hinzubekommen, aber mit verschiedenen automake Versionen ist das fast unmöglich.


    Mal sehn, ob sich in der nächsten Stunde noch was ergibt.

  • Leute, ich habe herausgefunden, wo der Hase im Pfeffer liegt.
    Debian hat bei mir standardmässig "automake" installiert, und ich hab immer schön meine Pakete upgedatet und nie bemerkt, dass das Paket "automake" bei v1.4 stehengeblieben ist und parallel dazu auch noch Pakete automake-1.6, automake-1.7 existieren. Deshalb war mein automake zu alt. Sorry, ganz schön banal, hat mich ja auch nur eine Handvoll Nächte gekostet :)


    Jetzt habe ich zwar gerade noch einen segmentation fault beim kompilieren bekommen, aber ich bin recht zuversichtlich, dass ich das mit nem frischen source code jetzt hinbekomme.

    jetzt hab ich ein ./autogen.sh gemacht, das brav durchlief, und dann folgendes:

    nochmal was aus der ML:



    auf gut deutsch: er hat automake und autoconf etc.. upgegraded auf die
    letzen gnu versionen und seit dem gehts wohl. man solle die tonnen von
    warnungen ignorieren, die da wohl kommen.
    wenn der make ned gegangen ist gibts 2 moeglichkeiten:
    entweder ist makeinstalldirs ned richtig gesetzt (set makeinstalldirs=mkdir -p)
    oder bindir/fontdir sind es nicht (fontdir scheint aus irgendwelchen gruenden
    auskommentiert zu sein, und bindir kann in anderen makefiles gefunden werden).
    evtl gibts irgendwo ne bessere version von automake, die vernueftige makefiles erzeugt.

    Danke an alle, und einen besonders grossen Dank an Reinhard, der zwischen dem Programmieren noch die Zeit findet, entscheidende Tips zu geben, und mir abends mal eben patches zu schnüren. Also, es lag genau an der Geschichte, die Reinhard oben aus der ML zitiert hat: Debian gcc 3.3.3 verträgt sich nicht mit dem Quelltext von xine. Obige Kompilieranweisung ist der Ausweg.


    Ohne Euch hätte ich's echt aufgegeben. Und ich bin mal wieder an einem Punkt angelangt, wo ich nur sagen kann: Warum tue ich mir nur dieses kryptische Linux an, wenn's doch dieses einfache OS mit den Fenstern und den Häkchen an den Kästchen gibt ... Aber bevor ihr mich steinigt: Ich weiss schon warum :)

    Also, xine-plugin läuft wunderprächtig, aber der vdr funzt net. Ich weiss, langsam müsste der Thread in 'Wer hilft dem Dummbeutel' umbenannt werden, aber:


    Der VDR kriegt die Kanäle nicht richtig rein: Das Bild ist eine schöne kachelförmige Mixtur aus Grün und Chaos, und VDR meldet:


    libmpeg2: stream not demultiplexed ?


    ...und das ganz schön oft.

    für mich, der in einer DVB-T-, DVB-C- und DSL-freien Zone wohnt, ist es nicht ganz einfach, dir einen Ratschlag zu geben.


    Aber auch mit einer defekten NOVA-S, welche in den ersten 20 Minuten auf allen vertikalen Transpondern eine Unmenge an Fehlern liefert, zeigt sich dein beobachtetes Verhalten.


    Nun, auch wenn die Parameter für die Kanäle richtig sind, wie steht es mit der Signalqualität (verfügst du z. B. über eine Außenantenne)?


    Hast du eine andere Möglichkeit (z. B. unter Windows) zu prüfen, ob deine Hardware (auch Antenne, etc.) einen fehlerfreien Datenstrom (und dann auch Bild) liefern kann?

  • Naja, nicht nur unter Windows...


    Auf dem selben Rechner läuft "xine dvb://" tadellos. Bzw., Ich habe den Eindruck, dass der DEC-2000T - Treiber aus dem Kernel 2.6.6 zwar noch ziemlich buggy ist, aber so lange ich nicht häufig umschalte, habe ich da eigentlich keine Probleme. Ich benutze für meine Tests extra nur einen Kanal (ARD), weil der bei mir volle Pulle ankommt.


    Es besteht natürlich immer noch die theoretische Möglichkeit, dass die DEC mit VDR nicht zusammenspielt, wie verschiedene Quellen immer wieder "andeuten" - will heissen, nichts genaues weiss man nicht. Und solange mir das einer nicht klipp und klar bestätigt, gehe ich mal vom Gegenteil aus.


    Vielen Dank für deine Tips, Reinhard. Vielleicht sollte ich mal lieber einen neuen Thread unter "VDR-Konfiguration" einrichten? Um vdr-xine geht's hier ja gar nicht mehr.

    hat sich ja gestern in der ml geklaert.


    ich habe 2x ff cards. also musste ich das prim device auf 3 stellen damit er in den transfermodus ging. dann aber: geiles bild am beamer. :)


    bloss macht das plugin dann leider nicht das was ich wollte.


    ich wollte parallel mit dem tv per svideo am tv schauen und per vga am beamer. das geht aber jetzt eben nicht weil ich wieder nur entweder oder schauen kann weil ich das prim device (das mit dem osd) aendern muss.


    vielleicht findet da ja mal wer ne loesung.

    ich denke, dass sollte mit den verfügbaren Plugins schon möglich sein:


    Starte einen VDR wie bisher und gib im das streamdev Plugin mit. Konfiguriere das Plugin als Server.


    Starte einen weiteren VDR mit -D0 (= kein Hardware Device), xine und streamdev Plugin. Konfiguriere den zweiten als Client. Diese Lösung sollte sowohl zur Wiedergabe von LiveTV als auch von Aufzeichnungen funktionieren.


    Der zweite VDR sollte eine andere Verzeichnisstruktur verwenden, damit er mit dem ersten nicht in die Quere kommt.


    Selbst habe ich diese Konstellation noch nicht probiert, aber was andere Leute auf zwei Rechnern machen, kann man sicherlich auch auf einem, solange die CPU-Power ausreicht.
