VDR simpel installieren unmöglich?

Ich habe jetzt nach mehrfacher vergeblicher Installation und verschiedensten step by step guides immer noch keine Möglichkeit gefunden simpel ein VDR allein mit Webinterface auf einem Ubuntu Server zu installieren... Könnt ihr mir da helfen? Ich bin bisher bei sämtlichen Guides auf Kernelinkompatibelitäten, abgeschaltete Paketquellen und fehlerhafte Abhängigkeitenpakete gestoßen -_-

Gibt es denn echt keine Simple Methode das Teil zu installieren?

//Edit: yavdr etc kann ich nicht verwenden da ich seitens meiner TV Karte an diverse kernels gebunden bin...
