grub zerschossen

  • Ich habe versucht in der /boot/grub/menu.lst einzutragen dass bei AtapiBrenner als SCSI Gerät erkannt wird.


    Anch editieren der Menu.lst kann ich nun nicht mehr booten. Bleibt in der Konsole bei mit befehl grub> hängen


    Was hab ich falsch gemacht und wie krieg ich das wieder weg?


    Das ganze mit Linvdr!!

    bei mir ist /boot auf /dev/hda1 und root auf /dev/hda3


    an der Grub Console:


    root (hd0,0)
    kernel /bzImage root=/dev/hda3 vga=791 hdc=ide-scsi


    eingeben.


    Danach das Kommando:


    boot.


    Nun sollter er normal booten.


    Ich hatte den Fehler auch, durch das Umbenennen von menu.lst in grub.conf ist der Spuk wieder vorbei gewesen.

  • danke erstmal, aber bei der zeile kernel... bringt er nur Error 15: file not found


    den root befehl hat er genomen und mein filesystem ausgegeben....

    das Kommando


    root (hd0,0) sagt, das der ganze Grub Setup auf /dev/hda1 liegt.


    Du kannst ruhig mal mehrer Varianten durchprobieren, ist ja fast wie eine normal Konsole.


    Allerdings muessen die werte vom root (?,?) stimmen. Sage mal, wo Dein Boot Verzeichnis liegt ?

  • Hmmm, da muss mal ein LINVDR'ler ran, habe ich leider nicht.


    Root scheint aber schon mal zu stimmen, wenn er die Zeile mit dem Filesystem ausgegeben hat.


    Probier mal mit dem Kernelpfad. Er findet das Image nicht.

  • habs mal mit kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=dev......... probiert.
    Da gabs wenigstens die reaktion, dass der schirm sich mit Zeichen gefüllt hat.... seitenweise....lauter Zahlen

    Tut mir leid, bei mir hat das auf anhieb geklappt. Kannst glaube ich auch mal help oder ? an der Konsole drücken.

  • hat geklappt.... aber es passiert nach jedem boot wieder....
    die menu.lst ist da, und die grub.conf zeigt darauf.


    Beim lilo muss man immer mit befehl lilo neuschreiben. geht das mit grub auch?

  • ich kann mir das auch nicht erklären, ich hatte genau das gleiche. Als ich menu.lst in grub.conf umänderte ging es auf einmal wieder.

    kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1 vga=0x314 hda=ide-scsi
    boot


    starten


    aber beim nächsten start passiert das gleiche wieder


    wie schreibe ich den Grub neu? hab schon mit setup (im grub) versucht, aber dann bestätigt er alles und bootet wieder nicht

  • also wenn die Werte, die du von Hand eingibst mit den Werten
    in der menu.lst übereinstimmen, dann stimmt wohl tatsächlich mit grub was nicht mehr evtl. hilft ja ein erneutes Setup!


    tipp mal in der Konsole grub ein, und passe die folgenden Eingaben
    an dein System an. Sollte aber wohl so passen, da ja LinVDR nur eine Partition anlegt.


    grub> root (hd0,0)----->(deine Bootpartition)
    grub> setup (hd0)----->(installiere Grub in den MBR)
    grub> quit-------------->(Exit ;-))

  • Bist du dir sicher , dass hda=ide-scsi richtig ist ??.
    Eigentlich waere es die erste IDE-Disk (wenn vorhanden)


    grub.conf sollte dann in etwa so aussehen :


    title Gentoo :D
    root (hd0,0)
    kernel (hd0,0)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1 hda=ide-scsi vga=0x314


    Dann nochmals :


    mount /boot (auf sicher ;))
    grub
    grub> root (hd0,0)----->(deine Bootpartition)
    grub> setup (hd0)----->(installiere Grub in den MBR)
    grub> quit-------------->(Exit ;-))


    Naja , poste doch einfach mal deine grub.conf , so kann man nur raten und der
    grub.conf Eintrag kann so garnet stimmen ;) . Normalerweise waere es sowas wie hdc=ide-scsi , wenn IDE-Disk vorhanden

    so, nun ist es passiert.. ich hab soviel rumgedoktert, dass ich nun NICHT mehr booten kann.
    Das Update mit der bootcd kann ich vergessen, da interesanterweise der grub unverändert bleibt. jedenfalls der Meldung nach....


    Jetzt bleibt mir wohl nur noch ne neuinstallation unter Verlust von ca 70 GB filme ;( ;( ;( ;(


    Weil.. an mein /videoverzeichnis komm ich ja auch nicht mehr ran...
    jetzt hilft nur noch ein wunder...
