Hi! I need you help with TV Card Tuner under Fedora

    I have Gigabyte Tv Card Tuner E8000
    Under Fedora 13, with kernel 2.6.33,
    lsmod | grep Multimedia
    gave me:


    06:00.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors Device 7160 (rev 03)


    Kernel doesn't have module for it, so i would appriciate some help, and maybe there is someone who made this tv card tuner worked under linux?

    What you could do - that was how I managed to get two nondescript noname-cards to work - is look at the card and write down which processors are mounted on it. In case of the two cards I mentioned, there was a separate chip on there which belonged to a series supported by a kernel-module, and after laoding it, voila, all of a sudden the cards were working properly.


    That's all the advice I can give at the moment, being myself not really a skilled user.
