Hello,

and thank you for your work :)
I am running vdr-1.1.19 and compiled with REMOTE=LIRC (but I saw a DREMOTE_LIRC and DREMOTE_KBD during vdr compilation).
Plugin version is console-0.3.0

My problem: I was never able to run the console plugin and get the keyboard working.
What I tried:
- vdr -P"console -r" from console
- vdr -P"console -r" from telnet
- vdr -P"console" from console
- vdr -P"console" from telnet

And I never get any character I type in the console window.

I also tried to use the disable the auto-keyboard mode and use the "OK" key but with no success.

I also saw a CONSOLE_USE_SHELL_INSTEAD_LOGIN in console Makefile. What is it supposed to do?

It's not my work, it's Jan Riegers great work ;D

Do you start your VDR with --terminal=xxx Option? I also have problems with it.
Please test it without the --terminal Option.

Hi, all

Ich habe mir das Plugin auch Install, ich kann es auch starten, aber die Tastatur reagiert nicht, bzw. ich kann was schreiben, aber es wird nix in der Console angezeigt, worann kann das liegen, habe ich irgendwas vergessen?

Nutze vdr 1.1.15 (mit Lirc), Treiber vom 1.11.02 und Suse 7.3

Wer kann mir mal wieterhelfen, das Plugin währe mir schon sehr wichtig, weil ich nur einen Moni habe und immer mit Telnet oder Moni umstöppseln arbeite!

Ich habe vdr 1.1.19 und soeben das Plugin 0.4.0 getestet. Funktioniert gut.
Kompiliert habe ich mit REMOTE=LIRC VFAT=1 NO_KBD=1. Plugin wird gestartet mit -Pconsole. Ich starte den VDR über runvdr...aber OHNE --terminal=/dev/xxxx. Probier das mal, und kannst ruhig auf die 1.1.19 wechseln... die funktioniert auch sehr gut.

thank you so much !!! That was it. I removed the "-t /dev/tty8" from runvdr and it works. I have console keyboard working from where I launched it (from telnet if I ran "runvdr" from there or from the real keyboard if I started from there.

Thx (and sorry for english writing in this forum, but there is just too many high skills peoples there !).

Kannst du mir mal verraten, warum es bei mir nicht funzt? habe jetzt die 0.4.0 Install und bin so vorgegeangen wie du es beschrieben (allerdings ohne VFAT=1) hast und auch in der runvdr -t /dev/xxx rausgenommen, aber die Tastaur reagiert immer noch net, das einziege was mir aufgefallen ist, ist wenn ich die FB betätige der Curser nicht mehr blinkt, erst wieder wenn ich die Taste los lasse...
*verzweifel*

in den logs steht auch nix was auf einen Fehler hin deuten könnte, wird alles ordnugsgemäß geladen!

Genauso wenn ich ./vdr -Pconsole starte, die Console ist zwar da, kann ich auch anwählen, aber die tastaur macht immer noch nix...!

Ps.: habe auch mal die 1.1.19`er Install, aber ganau das gleiche

Kein Ahnung. Hast du mal probiert den VDR mit NO_KBD=1 zu kompilieren? Das ist das Einzigtse was mir gerade noch einfällt.

Yepp! Habe ich gemacht, aber REMOTE=LIRC habe ich auch gemacht, kann ja nochmal probiern ohne Lirc, nur weiß ich net ob dann Lirc noch funzt?!?

Ist in der runvdr die -d Option? Starte mal die runvdr an der Console und nicht über initab. Ich weiß nicht wie's bei dir aussieht, hast du mit bashy-Script installiert?

Ich habe mir alles selber Install, ohne Scripte! Zuerst hatte ich immer mit Ronny`s Scripten gearbeitet, aber da die nie ganz durchgelaufen sind (fehlte immer irgendwas), habe ich es selbst in die Hand genommen! Hubertus FAQ ausgedruckt, abgeheftet und rann an die Arbeit!
Ich habe auch eine runvdr auf Platte an die ich mich mit den Erweiterungen (Plugins) gehalten habe und in Ronny`s runvdr von seiner Seite habe ich auch zum Vergleich, also das haut schon hin, die Plugins werden ja auch ordentlich geladen!

Ich würde dir gern mal einen Auszug von meiner runvdr Posten, aber ich bin jetzt auf MCP Schule (lach nicht, AA gesponsort) und könnte erst heute Abend...

Ronny ich gebe dir auch keine Schuld !!!!!!!!!!! Deine Scripte mögen ja laufen, aber wenn mir was fehlte im Packages Verz. ist das doch normal! ich habe auch keine Flat auch nur ISDN! Hatte mir auch mit Dirk seinem Tool alles gesaugt, ins packages Verz. meiner VDR-Box, aber einiges fehlte trotzdem, wie du schon geschreiben hast

Auch wenn ich versucht habe es mit der Hand zu laden, war es nicht verfügbar, dachte damals nur, das was ich jetzt habe kann dein Script mir schon mal install, aber ich mache es jetzt halt lieber selber von Hand!
